If you're unfamilair with the many hands of poker, this guide will help you educate yourself. Below is a listing of all the major poker hands with a brief description. The hands are odered from the best to the worse, with the top poker hand being unbeatable.
 
Royal Flush
         
  • Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 all with the same suit
  • Both Suit AND face value are relevant
The Royal Flush is the king of kings when it comes to poker... it's unbeatable.

Straight Flush
         
  • Any five sequential cards that are of the same suit
  • Both Suit AND face value are relevant
The Straight Flush is only second to a Royal Flush

Four of a Kind
         
  • Any four cards that are of the same face value
  • Suit is non-relevant
Four of a kind is only beaten by either a Straight or Royale Flush

Full House
         
  • Three cards of the same value along with an additional pair of the same value
  • Suit is non-relevant
A Full House is most common of the high-hands and is beaten by 4 of kind and Straight or Royal Flushes

Flush
         
  • Any five cards of the same Suit
  • Face-value is non-relevant
A Flush is beaten by a full house, 4 of a kind, and Straight or Royal flushes

Straight
         
  • Any five cards of more than one suit in sequence
  • Suit is not relevant
Straights beat three of a kind, two pairs, a pair, and a high card

Three of a Kind
         
  • Three cards of the same face value
  • Suit is not relevant
Three of a king beats two pairs, a pair and a high card

Two Pairs
         
  • Two pairs of the same face value, but different pairings
  • Suit is not relevant
Two Pairs beats a pair and a high card

Pair
         
  • Two cards of the same face value
  • Suit is not relevant
Pair beats a fold and a high card

High Card
         
  • If no one has any poker hands above, the highest card wins
  • Suit is not relevant
